What is Reiki?
Reiki is an ancient form of ‘hands on’ healing, thought to be thousands of years old. It is believed to have originated as a Tibetan Buddhist practice, rediscovered in the 1800’s. The word Reiki is derived from two Japanese words – ‘rei’ meaning universal spirit and ‘ki’ meaning life force energy. It is a simple, natural and safe method of spiritual healing and self-improvement that everyone can use. It has been effective in helping virtually every known illness and malady and always creates a beneficial effect. It also works in conjunction with all other medical or therapeutic techniques to relieve side effects and promote recovery. As a Reiki Master and Teacher I provide Reiki attunement workshops at levels I, II and III.

How does Reiki work?
This gentle treatment is given over clothing and involves hands being placed in a sequence of non-invasive positions to cover the whole body. Reiki energy is drawn through the therapist and works by dissolving or eliminating toxic energy and substances from many levels whether physical, emotional, mental or spiritual. Usually given lying down but may by be performed sitting and may be given just over a problem area.

Greta works from 3 locations so you have the option of having a session away from it all out in nature at High Lane Farm, Gawsworth, Macclesfield with beautiful views of the countryside all around. This is such a relaxing location and is especially recommended for those who are stressed and need some relaxation. After the healing you are free to chill out in a deck chair with a cup of tea and watch the world go by. Great as a gift or for someone needing peace and healing.

The Reiki attunements are based on the traditional, Eastern style of Reiki, honouring the lineage of with Usui.
Ongoing support is offered to all students.

This is the first step on your reiki journey. Delve in to the world of self healing and your path to enlightenment. You will learn all about the energy systems, how to carry out both eastern & western approaches to self treatments, daily energy meditations, plus how to give treatments to friends & Family.
Reiki Second Degree – (Okunden) Course
On your level 2 course, you will receive empowerments which will further connect you to the Reiki energy. we will look at freeing up your reiki practice and working intuitively. You will be attuned to the sacred symbols, and learn how to embody their energies. You will also be introduced to the concept of oneness and distance healing. Upon completion you may set up as a reiki practitioner if you wish.

We will also explore the advanced Reiki techniques, sacred chants and further teachings of Usui.
On completion of the course, you will be able to teach others, if you so wish.
