Everyone seems to think of addiction as substance related but it isnt – addiction can spread to relationships, underearning, debt, substances, loneliness, isolation, codependency, work, porn, sex, Information Technology, exercise, eating disorders, negative thinking and any others you can think of.
The purpose of this retreat is to create a safe space for healing, sharing, connecting, understanding and to create a tribe, a community out in nature.
The January cold will bring us into a state of rawness and aliveness as we connect to the lnWe will be working from a bell tent with a warm fire and who knows it may snow – it did last year but it was amazing. Raw, real and honest. The cold brought us in contact with our whole being and touched our souls.
This is not a detox or addiction recovery program.
There is nothing quite like being sat around a fire in nature, in community sharing our truths with others who get us because they just get us.
We merge recovery principles with shamanic and spiritual practices to assist you in your healing.
.We will hold sacred ceremony with Cacao and experience ancient, tribal practices like drumming in circle which has been found to reduce stress, calm the nervous system and take us into a meditative state.
We will cover addiction, recovery, self care, the importance of surrender and other aspects of recovery and the role of spirituality in recovery. There will be Shamanic Trance Dance (dancing blind fold and letting your heart rule your head), sharing circles, Kundalini Yoga, Drumming and music around the fire and alone time. There will be a creative workshop to make something special along with meditation and shamanic sessions. If you dont want to take part in any of these things you dont have to either.
