Magical fairy stories shouldn’t stop at childhood – recovery has allowed me to be the child I couldnt be when I was a child – what was your favourite childrens fairystory or book?

The Faraway tree was a place I used to go when I was a child and things got to much for me – I wanted to stay in the #farawaytree and jump onto the different lands that visited at the top of the tree – I wanted to live with Silky and. Moonface cos they were kind and safe – I travelled a million #shamanic journeys to that tree and back to escape the reality of what was called my life – the realms i went to via my creativity were magical, amazing and ethereal but then I was told none of it was real. So back I came to the place of lost children leaving the magic and ME in the Faraway Tree.

Tonight I draw the lower world for the first time with pencils just bought for me – so I can once again visit the forest of this Enid Blyton book and reconnect with the world I was told wasn’t real and the magic which IS me.
Let children stay in their magical world connected to their own #spirit  and #magic  and let them dream and be whoever they want to be. #magical #innerchild #shamanism #children #fairystory #art #recovery #sober #sobriety #addiction #suicidepreventionday #uk #support
